In the pretty tea gardens of Munnar, where the cool breeze danced with the tea leaves, a fun-loving little monkey called Bobby lived. He was known, not for his swinging skills or long tail, but for his lively curiosity and charm.
On a warm afternoon, Bobby was out on his usual adventure. Under the large trees, he saw a golden mango, unlike any other. This mango felt heavy and special. Bobby remembered an old tale warning against the golden fruit, but his excitement was too much, and he took a big bite.
Suddenly, a genie popped out from the mango. He looked grumpy and shouted across the valley, “You freed me from an old spell. Now, I must turn you into stone.”
Bobby was scared. He quickly asked for a favour. “Let me say goodbye to my family,” he begged. The genie agreed but told Bobby not to tell anyone about him.
Back home, Bobby felt very sad. His family’s laughter echoed around him. He looked at his playful little sister, Piku. He didn’t want to leave her or the rest of the family. Overwhelmed with sadness, he told Piku about the genie.
Piku was scared at first but then thought of a plan. She pretended to be innocent and asked the genie, “Could you turn into the golden mango again?” The genie did, thinking he could trick Piku. As soon as he transformed, Piku, pretending to be shocked, let the mango roll away.
Both Bobby and Piku ran after the mango. It was rolling towards a steep hill. Their family watched with fear as they ran closer and closer to a high cliff.
Just as they were about to reach the cliff, Piku leapt forward and kicked the mango high into the air. It fell into a deep hole, trapping the genie again.
Everyone was relieved and happy. They thanked Piku for her bravery. Bobby was safe, and their home was full of joy and laughter again. From that day, Bobby understood the importance of being careful. His curiosity was a good thing, but he also learned to listen to wise advice. It was a lesson he would remember on all his future adventures.
